Sam is the co-owner of Joshua Robson Productions (JRP) and in 2024 became the company's first Producer of New Work. Sam is currently leading the commission and development of JRP's first new musical by Ben Abraham and Liam Maguire which is currently in workshop stages.

JRP has become a staple in the Australian independent theatre scene with critically acclaimed productions at the Hayes Theatre Co in Sydney, such as Bonnie and Clyde, City of Angels, Little Women, and In The Heights. Their production of In The Heights transferred to the Sydney Opera House, where it was nominated for five Helpmann Awards, including Best Musical, and is returning for an Australian tour in 2025.
